The BLR CM 3A, presents a revolutionary
technology in power factor and capacitor
control operations. The relays are capable o
f a host of all modern needs of capacitor
monitoring and control, but do not stop
there. It has capabilities to perform exact
phase -wise compensation, if the necessary
steps of capacitors are made available. This
will enable true accuracy in compensation on
each phase, even if there exists imbalance
in the load conditions between the three
phases of an installation.
Because of the integrated comprehensive
measurements, the BLR CM 3A can also be
utilized for its power analysis, measurement
and communication capabilities, including
RS485 with MODBUS protocol. The BLR CM3A is
further equipped like other CM relays, with
the capability of controlling capacitor
banks, connected via contactors or via
thyristor modules, or even a hybrid version.
This will facilitate the operation of both
coarse tuning as well as rapid compensation
for fine tuning the power factor management
in an installation.
